Thomas (Tom) Tyler is executive vice president of Segmint Inc. He will direct Segmint’s business development and investment opportunities, while assisting with overall business strategy and execution.

Prior to Segmint, Tyler founded Xtrasource Inc. and served as President, CEO and Chairman until the company was acquired by Sento Corporation. He also served as President and CEO of Universal Electronics Inc., where he grew the company from annual revenue of $240,000 to $96 million in six years and guided the company through an IPO and Secondary Offering, raising nearly $75 million of capital to fund the company's rapid growth. Prior to that Tyler served as President and Founder of MTC/USA Inc., and held marketing and sales positions with Technicare Corporation (a division of Johnson & Johnson) and Eveready Battery Co.

Currently Tyler serves as a Special Advisor to Arkovi (BMRW & Associates), assisting the company with business development and organizational growth.

Over the years Tyler has received numerous awards and recognition for his business leadership, including Universal Electronics Inc. recognition as the 7th fastest growing company on BusinessWeek’s “100 Hottest Growing Small Companies;” Ernst & Young’s “Northeast Ohio Entrepreneur of the Year” award; and Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Business “Weatherhead 100 Award” for three consecutive years for the fastest growing company in Northeast Ohio.

Tyler holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from State University of New York at Brockport.
