Privacy

SEGMINT is committed to collecting anonymous consumer spending data while protecting privacy. Protecting consumer spending information is SEGMINT’s highest concern. The data is located in a professional data center to ensure state-of-the-art protection with multiple levels of both electronic and physical security.

SEGMINT requires that banks assign a unique, anonymous identification number to every customer before running any of the data through SEGMINT. The SEGMINT system never receives or contains a customer’s name, street address, social security number, account number or any other identifier that might be used to link a piece of data to that customer.

KLIs protect the anonymity of financial institution customers by creating groups of individuals who share common interests and characteristics. As a result, when banks or third parties want to provide offers to customers, they do not require or receive knowledge of who the individuals are in each KLI grouping.

SegmintFAQs

let’s clear some things up...

Q:

What does Segmint do to keep its data safe?

A:

Only Segmint team members with a need to know will see transaction data, and financial institutions only send anonymous identifiers and limited demographic information, so Segmint employees do not see any Personally Identifiable Information from financial institutions.
